Twilight fans are familiar with the name of Kristen Stewart, but this personable star who plays Bella Swan in the Twilight Saga has more to offer than superb acting abilities. Kristen was born on April 9, 1990 in Los Angeles, California. Her father, John Stewart, works for FOX and other organizations as a television producer and stage manager. Her mother, Jules-Mann Stewart, is Australian and a script supervisor in LA. There is an older brother, Cameron, and two adopted brothers, Taylor and Dana.

Aspirations
Kristen never thought that she would become an actress. Her aspirations ran along the lines of writing and directing. She has stated that she was never one to seek out acting or to be the center of attention. An agent saw Kristen perform in an elementary school Christmas play at the age of eight, and that was the beginning of her acting career.

Education
The Twilight celebrity attended school until the seventh grade, at which time she switched over to an education by correspondence. Her erratic schedule prevented her from learning in the traditional way, so homeschooling became a part of her life. She has since completed her high school training.

The beautiful actress has lived in Woodland Hills, California. Since her mother hails from Australia, Kristen has a desire to travel there and attend Sydney University to major in literature due to writing interests. She also has an urge to live and work in Australia, but not necessarily as an actress. She does not intend to act for the rest of her life and would like to have writing as a possible career. Michael Angarano, her co-star in the film “Speak”, was once a love interest, but she is now seeing Robert Pattinson, her co-star in the Twilight Saga. In fact, at the present time, the two young stars of Twilight have done a bit of house-hunting and have found a luxurious apartment in the Notting Hill section of London that they are sharing.

Interests
Kristen has owned three dogs, Oz, Jack and Lily. Oz is a border collie mix and Jack and Lily happen to be hybrid wolves. She also has a cat called Max/Jella. The young and charming Twilight star is also a member and supporter of the Red Cross National Celebrity Cabinet. She enjoys cooking and picking up tips from The Food Network. She especially admires Paula Deen due to her sense of humor.

Kristen Stewart prefers to be very discreet about her personal life, feeling that open discussion of her relationships just serves to cheapen matters by creating entertainment for other people. Even though she is very appreciative of her fame, it bothers her that she is prevented from going to places like the mall due to being deluged by the paparazzi and the public in general.

Kristen has a love of rock and roll music, including the Beatles. She recently played the role of Joan Jett in the film “The Runaways”. The actress has portrayed a variety of characters in numerous other films since her initiation into acting at the age of eight. She has frequently starred in roles where her character is troubled in some way or going through an emotionally traumatic experience.
