Author Stephenie Meyer never intended to publish the book that led to her phenomenal success but once she did, the floodgates were open. Ms. Meyers has more than just the world-renowned Twilight books to offer. The first book that she released after being catapulted to success by her teen fantasy romance saga was actually a book that expounded on one of the nominal characters in Eclipse. The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner tells the story of Bree, one of the young vampires that was created by Victoria in the book Eclipse in order to mount an attack on the Cullens and Bella.

The story of Bree fills in many of the blanks regarding what was going on in Seattle during the creation of the newborn army. Bree was particularly poignant to Bella because she was the epitome of what Bella thought she may be like after being changed into a vampire. Bree ends up being killed by the Volturi, yet her brief story plays a relevant role to the story.

Another book available from Ms. Meyer is her adult science fiction novel, The Host. The story is of Melanie Stryder and Wanderer, the alien soul with which she is forced to work. The book, published by Little, Brown and Company, debuted at the top of the New York Times Best Seller list and remained on the list for over six months. Ms. Meyer has hinted that she is working on the sequel, as well as having ideas for several other books in mind.

Ms. Meyer has also worked with Hobo Skate Company to produce her own clothing line in order to promote The Host and has worked on a music video. Finally, The Twilight Saga; The Official Illustrated Guide was released in 2011. Ms. Meyer still claims that being a wife and mother are her premier roles, but it seems that she will find success wherever she seeks it.
